Brighton Climate Action Network launched


At the end of September 40 people gathered for the launched of a new city network designed as an umbrella organisation to address the threat of climate change. Established as a non-profit organisation a constitution was agreed with five aims:

  1. To link climate campaign groups with other community organisations to address the threat of climate change,
  2. To raise public awareness of climate change and press for policies to ensure its mitigation,
  3. To disseminate information,
  4. To organise public meetings, and
  5. To develop local climate policies and initiatives
