Innovative society dialogue session at the 6th International Sustainability Transitions conference

Sust Communities

ARTS researchers Jake Barnes and Rachael Durrant convened a special dialogue session with the aim of exploring the notion that civil society initiatives are worthy of special attention when it comes to sustainability transitions. The session subsequently explored how and if these initiatives address multiple domains (e.g. food, energy, water, housing, waste, nature conservation) and whether they contribute to creating a variety of overarching shared ideas. The workshop began with practitioners from Brighton, explaining what they do and sharing their experiences followed by a World Café style discussion.
